Yesterday Neil and I went to the Pineapple house near Falkirk, my auntie uncle and cousin had hired it out for the October week. The dome was built in 17 something by the 6th Earl of Dunmore who was apparently the first person in Scotland to grow pineapples. In the afternoon we went on a walk and saw an abandoned tower while strewn empty coffins inside. I didn’t like it. When we came back I played a game called Hopla with my cousin. I’d never heard of it. At the time I felt inspired by the day but this morning I couldn’t remember specifically why.

Kevin McClouds Grand Tour and Zebra Finches
Of simple grandeur and an impressive nature.
I will describe them to fit my experience, not by being there or seeing them in their natural environment but by watching tv and looking up photos of the net.
In fact I had been to some of these places but I had looked briefly, overwhelmed by the crowds, heat and a want for Fanta Lemon. And I have seen them but in a cage in a strange garden centre. £14.50 a pair.
