An attempt to capture a specific feeling through a combination of writing and video.
Lately I’ve been thinking about this book that I still kind of read all the time and feeling it leaves me with and a similar idea that I can express through a video.
Something along the lines of this -
I’m sure the book came free with J17, the summer special based on a fortnightly article about four or five girls, I don’t remember on a quest to find boyfriends and become rock stars. In the book the lead guitarist leaves to travel across America with her boyfriend before they go to separate universities after the summer. With a tearful goodbye from her friends she embarks on a suitably eventful journey full of break ups, make ups that embarrassed me at the time and reunions with multiple parents.
Even so I remember the excitement I felt as she left for her new life, knowing that it wouldn’t be long until I got to be that person too. I’ve no idea what happened to them after that, by the time I got back to school that year I wouldn’t be seen dead reading “girly” magazines.

Accompanied by a projection of the sky. The idea was to shoot the sky, kind of wobbly, not correcting any light flares etc. searching for something specific in the sky. Obviously a nice skuzzy sky would be better, its anyingly nice up here at ther morning.
Initially I was looking for a seabird, in a way to make fun of the move to Dundee but I would be open to anything really at the moment.

This isn’t really relevant just a seagull. x
