Spencer Finch Christmas and Army Biscuits.
Ive had a pretty exciting couple of days. On Friday Neil and I went to the opening of my wee third year exhibition which was really busy but with awful wine. Apart from that it was pretty posistive it was kinda my first chance to see my years work since I switched. And I was not dissapointed, more intimidated.
After a wee while we moved on to the beautiful DCA opening of the Spencer Finch exhibition. He gave a really exciting artist talk to all of fine art on Thursday so it was hooching. The man was gorgeous, all american in the best way. He said shmuck, smiled at the thought of Hawaii Five 0 and then laughed at himself. I would highly recommend looking him up.
I know this is annoying to bring up but Christmas is a mere 60 days away and I am stupidly excited and organised. I bought my mums present yesterday and looked up christmas biscuit recipes today.
Ive been a bit rubbish in our flat recently I haven’t tidied anything up or done any dishes. I’m going to have to change that. Starting on November the first- Ive decided.
Oh Neils fact of the week is that Saatchi is married to Nigella Lawson and has been for three years. I did not know that.
Army biscuits are thoroughly edible.
See you soon x.

Hello, How are you?
I found a new artist the other day, Sarah Sze (or Susan) I can never remember. She has a pretty amazing website, its sort of the dream. It seems like her ideas have seemed fairly consistant for years she’s just gotten better. I really like some of the work, especially the very first/oldest thing on the site, its seems like its maybe her degree show.
She reminded me of this woman, who I was obsessed with last term. I considered moving to Zurich. I really like how light hearted some of this is. Well I don’t know what its about because I don’t remember what the translation said, but it always made me feel a tad happier.
I put in my piece today for the little 3rd year exhibition that we’re putting on. I finished it just in time. Its a kind of obvious version of what Im thinking of making eventually. But I think its pretty. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Thank You x.

I asked my sister to find this for me. It was in a box of paperwork in the garage, she had never seen it before. This house is the only house she remembers. I think she was about two when we moved in. She told me she had stood in the corner of the living room to imagine where the photographer had been, to see how much she recognised.

Life drawing and Photos
I know the photos are terrible quality but this is what I’ve been up to. Plus my list/poem things, I’m going to a writing workshop soon hopefully they’ll get better not worse. I ended up in life drawing because my friend organised a session but was running late, and I really enjoyed it. I thought I hated it. I’m gonna draw from these photos, maybe write about them and then make something related. Well, thats the well documented plan.
See you soon
Thank you x.
